Lite-On External USB 8x DVDRW eNAU108-111
The Lite-On eNAU108 is a well designed slim USB external optical drive supporting everything except Bluray. It won't win any speed contests, but it is a perfect companion to the road warrior without an optical drive.

Lite-On packages a USB2 Y-cable along with some literature and Nero 9 Essentials for Windows and the eNAU108, itself.

The Y-cable is used to provide more power if the eNAU108 doesn't work with a single port. You can try it out by plugging the cord in using the mini-USB2 connect to the eNAU108 and plugging the thicker cable into the computer. It should work with a single cable as ours did on all computers we've tried.
