On the above list of coolers, the True Black-120 comes in awfully heavy by comparison. Many of the higher end coolers tend to be on the heavy side, but that doesn't guarantee high performance. The extra fins and heat pipes on the True Black-120 are likely the reason for it being so obese. And in the case of the True Black-120, adding a nickel coating on all the copper components only adds even more to the weight.

Fortunately Thermalright includes the necessary brackets to keep the weight from causing any undue stress on the motherboard. With the True Black-120, just like nearly all other coolers these days, you won't get much more than the bare necessities. But they did include some rubber strips to help prevent any unnecessary noise created by fan vibration. They also toss in some thermal grease for those that don't have any on hand.
